Bone density tests can be performed at The Corvallis Clinic and Albany Family & Specialty Medicine.

The Hologic Discovery bone densitometer is one of the most advanced systems available today. Its features improve the accuracy, speed and convenience of assessing osteoporosis. This instrument measures the bone mineral density (BMD) and provides an instant vertebral assessment (IVA). These tools can help identify those at risk of a future fracture.

Bone density tests are done by referral only. Any physician licensed in Oregon can schedule this test, and results can be interpreted by The Clinic or the patient’s physician. Shelly Morris, bone density technologist is at AF&SM every Monday and at The Clinic on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Scheduling is done through radiology.
