Nurse Plus 24/7

Employers know all too well about rising worker's compensation costs and their effect on a company's bottom line. When an employee injury does occur, the loss in manpower and productivity can further add to the problem.

The Corvallis Clinic’s Nurse Plus 24/7 program helps employers save money by providing fast-response and medical care to injured employees at their place of employment.

How the program works
A nurse is available around the clock to coordinate with management, supervisors and employees several important injury related functions. Here's the process:

  • After an employee reports a work-related injury or illness, he joins his supervisor to page the after-hours nurse.
  • The nurse consults with the injured worker via telephone and recommends treatment.
  • The employee then calls the nurse at the completion of treatment or if treatment is sought at a later time.
  • The nurse follows up with the physicians for explanation of treatment provided and return to work authorization.
  • Finally, the nurse provides an electronic report for the company representative.

A critical part of Nurse Plus 24/7 is its online component. The web-based program enables efficient claims management by maintaining a company's database. Management can analyze and monitor worker's compensation claim activity at any given moment. In addition, the on-line program features an instant OSHA 300 log, 801 and detailed risk management reports for further evaluation.
