Patient Guide to Patient Satisfaction Surveys and Ratings
At The Corvallis Clinic, we believe in the power of patient-centered care and want to put all the information you need to choose a physician at your fingertips. We also believe that transparency is critical. To that end, we’ve pulled together this guide to help patients, family members, and those considering appointments at The Corvallis Clinic to understand how we capture the patient experience.
About the surveys
The Corvallis Clinic measures many aspects of our patients’ experience. To ensure that we are holding ourselves to the highest standards, we partner with an independent patient satisfaction company, SurveyVitals.
Who receives the survey?
Patients treated by The Corvallis Clinic providers are randomly invited to complete surveys. Surveys are offered by phone calls, text messages, and email. These surveys give patients an opportunity to provide feedback about their experience with their provider. Results are shared with departments and individual physicians to identify opportunities to improve care.
Are all comments posted?
We post both positive and negative comments from the surveys. However, we do not post comments that are libelous, slanderous, profane, irrelevant, or otherwise inappropriate or may risk the privacy of our patients.
Why don’t we see patient ratings and comments for every physician?
The more ratings a provider receives increases the accuracy and reliability of the results. A provider’s rating will only be posted on the site providing he/she has a minimum of 30 completed surveys.
Can anyone complete a survey or post a comment about a physician?
No. Only patients of The Corvallis Clinic may be selected to receive a survey. This way we can confirm the results are based entirely on patients who have actually been treated by our providers.
Why post patient comments about the physician?
- We want patients to be paired with the best physician, which extends beyond solely finding a doctor that treats a specific condition.
- We know that the physician-patient relationship is a critical element toward achieving trust, satisfaction, and positive outcomes. For this reason, we are compelled to offer our patients and our community meaningful feedback offered from prior patients to help them choose a physician. Patients increasingly want to be more involved in their care, and that starts with us being transparent by providing information that patients deserve.
How can I change my contact settings or opt-out?
Patients have the option to opt-out from receiving future survey requests from SurveyVitals via all three contact modes; text message, email, and automated phone calls. The opportunity to opt-out is made available with every survey request. Because of how these automated systems are set up, they will continue to contact a patient if there is no response. A patient can either respond to the survey, follow the prompts to opt-out, or contact us to change their settings.
To contact us to change your settings or end future survey requests:
- Go to Ask Administration and let us know that you would like to opt-out of patient surveys. Please provide your name and date of birth to verify your information.
- If you cannot use our website, you can call 541-754-1150 and request to opt-out of the surveys. You’ll need to provide your full name, date of birth, and phone number to verify your information. You can also request a change in the type of communication you receive from The Corvallis Clinic, including phone, text message, and email.
