Alyssa Brown, FNP-C, grew up in both Bend and Myrtle Creek, Oregon, and is excited to return to her home state. With her husband in the US Navy for the past ten years, she’s had the opportunity to live in Norfolk, Virginia, and Whidbey Island, Washington.
Ms. Brown always knew she would pursue a career in healthcare. Initially interested in physical therapy, she changed direction when learning about the various opportunities nursing would provide her.
Ms. Brown strives to empower her patients, their families, and caregivers to be actively involved in patient care. “When patients are empowered and actively involved in their care, they have better outcomes.” Patients describe her as “compassionate, thorough, and straightforward” and can expect her to be a partner in their healthcare that listens to what they are saying and wants them to live as healthy as possible.
Outside of work, Ms. Brown enjoys spending time outdoors, either camping, hiking, or cycling. She also enjoys working out and spending time with her husband and extended family.
