A Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Kironde most recently practiced at our QuickCare clinics and before that, Deschutes County Adult Jail in Bend. She has also practiced in Uganda, Africa for Every Life International and for Show Mercy International Health Clinic. She began her nurse practitioner career in 2010 at St. Helens Family Practice-Legacy Health System in St. Helens after working as a registered nurse in the Cardiovascular and Medical Intensive Care Unit at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.
Kironde said her passion to help those in need led her into nursing and that she became a nurse practitioner to expand her skills. “I wanted to have an even greater impact in the lives of those I provided care for, particularly for working overseas and doing medical mission work … for the poorest of the poor.”
She earned a Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner Program-Oregon Health & Science University, in 2009; and Bachelor of Science, School of Nursing-OHSU, in 2006.
“Patients can expect that I will work hard to provide the best care possible for them,” Kironde said. “I think knowledge is power, and I want patients to have an understanding of their health and what they are experiencing. So I will spend a lot of time on patient education as this is something I highly value.”
Kironde and her husband have a daughter. She enjoys playing the piano, singing, painting, sewing, and being outdoors.
