To download and use the Webex meeting app on your smartphone:
Download the app from your appstore
When you open the app you will see a screen similar to this. Select “Join Meeting”:
You should see this screen. You should have been provided with either a meeting number or a meeting room. Enter the meeting information and your name and email address.
The grey “Join” button at the top-right should activate.
Step 4 – May not be necessary
If joining the meeting using the above methods doesn’t work you may need to sign up for a Webex account. It’s free, no credit card needed. Tap the “Sign up” link on the main screen shown in Step 2. You will see this screen. Enter your email address and tap “Sign Up.”
When you tap the “Join” button at the top-right you should see a screen similar to this:
Tap “Join.” You may be asked to grant permission to the app to allow access to your microphone and camera. Allow the app access.
Once you’ve joined and the physician also joins you can use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to turn your camera on and off if necessary.
After communicating with your provider that you’ll be having a telemedicine appointment you’ll get an email from your provider, it will look like the email below. Click the ‘Join Meeting’ button.

c. Meeting Number (if prompted)
d. Join Meeting (Appointment) with computer
e. Join Meeting (Appointment) by phone
A new screen will open, after a few moments there may be an option to download and install Cisco Webex, if you wait a few more moments there will be a link saying ‘Join from your browser.’ Click this link to join without installing new software.
Enter your Name and Email address then click ‘Next.’
If there is a pop-up on the top of the screen asking to use your microphone and or camera click ‘Allow.’
Click ‘Skip’ if you have a screen showing what’s new.
Join the meeting (Appointment) by clicking on ‘Join meeting.’

To change audio and camera settings click on the ‘Settings’ button.
To call into the video conference (if you computer microphone isn’t working well) click on ‘Audio connection.’
Click ‘Call in.’
From your phone dial the phone number, enter the access code and enter your Attendee ID then click the ‘X’ to close these screens.
If necessary, to change your speaker, microphone, and camera Click ‘Settings’ then ‘Speaker, microphone, and camera’ then follow the instructions to change your settings if necessary.
To do text chat with the provider click on the chat icon.
The chat box appears on the right, type your text on the bottom of the page then click enter to send it to the provider. The messages will then be visible on the top of the page.
When finished with your appointment click the ‘X’ then click ‘Leave Meeting.’
