Angela Passanise, D.O.
A soccer player as an undergraduate, Dr. Passanise (pronounced passa-KNEE- see) continued to play as she began an engineering career. However, a torn ACL sustained on the field altered her professional path. “The process of undergoing surgery and rehabbing my knee to return to sports inspired me to pursue a career in orthopedic surgery,” she said. “I dreamed of helping others return to the sport they love.” In addition to practicing sports medicine and overseeing non-operative treatments, Dr. Passanise performs multiple types of surgery, including shoulder and knee replacement, rotator cuff and labral repair, ACL reconstruction, and fracture care. Dr. Passanise and her husband have a 4-year-old son and twin 21-month-old daughters. She has completed several marathons, half marathons and triathlons, and she is an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
