- Access to breastfeeding supplies for people who are pregnant and nursing
- Birth control coverage:
- FDA-approved contraceptive methods
- Sterilization procedures
- Patient education and counseling, as prescribed by a health care provider for people with reproductive capacity (not including abortifacient drugs)
- Note: Not included for health plans sponsored by exempt religious employers
- Diabetes screening for those with a history of gestational diabetes:
- Not currently pregnant
- Not previously diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
- Folic acid supplements for those who may become pregnant
- Gestational diabetes screening:
- For people 24 weeks pregnant or later
- For those at high risk of gestational diabetes
- Hepatitis B screening during the first prenatal visit
- Postpartum depression screening at well-baby visits
- Preeclampsia prevention and screening for those with high blood pressure during pregnancy
- Rh incompatibility screening for all pregnant individuals and follow-up testing if needed
- Expanded tobacco intervention and counseling for pregnant tobacco users
