When your doctor requests an x-ray or other imaging tests, it usually can be done in our Imaging Department. It is equipped with state-of-the-art PET/CT, CT, ultrasound, MRI, and bone density units. You can be assured that your test results will be of superior quality for accurate interpretation by your radiologist and doctor. Corvallis Radiology provides supervision and interpretation of medical imaging.
Many radiology tests can be given at the time of your appointment with your doctor. Others, such as MRI, CT, PET and Nuclear usually can be scheduled within a week of seeing your doctor. Most routine test results are available within a few hours. More complex tests can take a couple of days to interpret. Because a radiologist and your doctor must interpret x-ray and imaging results, we cannot give test results to you by telephone. Patients must see their doctor to receive this information.

It gives your provider more reliable imaging, reducing delays and the need for costly rescans. Its roomier opening lessens claustrophobic feelings, and for some tests it operates quieter, in some cases completely quiet.
Our Hologic Discovery bone densitometer is one of the most advanced systems available. It improves the accuracy, speed, and convenience of assessing osteoporosis. This instrument measures the bone mineral density (BMD) and provides an instant vertebral assessment (IVA). These tools can help identify those at risk of a future fracture.
Bone density tests are done by referral. Any doctor licensed in Oregon can schedule this test for you, and the results can be interpreted for you by our staff or your physician.

Nuclear medicine imaging uses small amounts of radioactive material in the diagnosis and treatment of disease, such as cancer, heart disease; gastrointestinal, endocrine, and neurological disorders; and other abnormalities within the body.
Nuclear medicine procedures are able to pinpoint molecular activity within the body, so they offer the potential to identify disease in its earliest stages as well as a patient’s immediate response to therapeutic interventions.
