Dr. Nelson is committed to treating patients of all ages and performance levels, with the goal of return to the highest level of function. His philosophy combines advanced surgical techniques with an individualized, team-based approach to orthopedic and sports medicine care.

Dr. Nelson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, including cartilage restorative procedures. He specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, knee and elbow.
He was a collegiate athlete at USC and Auburn University, as was his wife (also a surgeon) at a different D1 uni. He utilizes those personal experiences, as well as prior care of world-class athletes, to help inspire and treat patients on their journey back to optimal performance.
