Beth Rathbun, PA-C
Urology
“I’m thrilled to be able to provide care to the very community that helped raise me.”
Beth Rathbun, PA-C, hopes her patients feel open and relaxed during appointments as she incorporates a love to educate and an open mind into her practice. “It would be a great disservice for a patient to feel uncomfortable discussing their urinary concerns. I strive to make the clinical experience as candid and relaxed as possible.”
Language(s) - English
A true Corvallis native, Beth Rathbun, PA-C, was born and raised in Corvallis. “I spent the whole of my childhood and young adult life going to The Corvallis Clinic for my healthcare needs. I can still remember getting some of my best care early on; from Corvallis Clinic pediatricians Dr. Younger, Dr. Berry, and Dr. Wong. I hold this town very near and dear to my heart as I’ve watched it grow and flourish.”
Ms. Rathbun chose Urology in part because of how versatile it is. “All patients bring their unique histories and experiences to the table, which makes it nuanced and incredibly interesting. I’m happy knowing that I’ll never stop learning.”
She understands that patients come to Urology with sensitive concerns and may be embarrassed or worried about describing their symptoms. “My goal is to put people at ease and give them a trusted space to talk. I remind my patients that what might seem ’embarrassing’ or ‘awkward’ to them is usually quite common and relatable.”
In addition to being a certified physician assistant, Ms. Rathbun is also a registered Radiology Technologist. Outside of work, she is a Beaver sports fan, reader, lover of good food and microbrew, and gardener-in-training. She also enjoys volunteering at her son’s school. “My biggest cheerleaders are my husband and 9-year-old son.”
