Accepting new patients
“My main goal is to have people leave my office feeling better about themselves and their health.”
Deborah helps her patients review how their nutrition and lifestyle habits impact their health, and she provides them with the knowledge and support they need to improve their well-being. She provides dietary guidance for children and adults with diabetes and GI disorders, including celiac disease and irritable bowel syndrome. She also helps those with eating disorders and those seeking to lose weight.

Deborah Bella knew the first quarter of her freshman year in college that she wanted to be a dietitian. “Being a dietitian allows me to combine my love of people with my love of science and medicine.”
Deborah assists patients in lifestyle changes at their level and pace. “I want patients to take the lead for health improvements. I’m just here to share my knowledge and give them the support they need to feel better about themselves and improve their health.”
She says this support can include intuitive eating skills, stress management, body-positive principles, and meal pattern adjustments and recommendations. “There are many tools available to help patients make better choices. Compassion and support go a long way in healthcare.”
As a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, Deborah helps people manage diabetes in individual and group sessions and is a certified insulin pump trainer. “I help patients fit diabetes into their lives rather than their lives into diabetes.” Her care emphasizes the oft-quoted saying about diabetes: “Well-managed diabetes is the leading cause of nothing.”
In addition to diabetes, Deborah treats patients with a wide range of conditions, from gastrointestinal diseases to eating disorders. Body positivity and intuitive eating principles are core values of her practice.
Deborah enjoys physical activities of all types but prefers cross-country skiing. She’s an avid soccer fan and enjoys spending her leisure time in the Sisters area.
