Accepting new patients
“My goal as a clinical dietitian is to promote health, healing, and wellbeing in my community through advocating for evidence-based, patient-centered nutrition care.”
Madison Delmendo enjoys working with a variety of diverse patients, counseling patients on nutrition for overall wellbeing, as well as treating those with chronic health conditions.
Language(s) - English
From an early age, Madison Delmendo was passionate about food, science, and working with people. When she found out there was a career path combining these interests, she knew she wanted to become a registered dietitian. She studied nutrition and dietetics as both an undergraduate and graduate student. Her education focused on many aspects of nutrition, including medical nutrition therapy, pediatric nutrition, public health, and even sustainable food systems.
Her patients describe her as an approachable, compassionate, and engaged clinician. “I practice with a weight-inclusive approach, which means patients can expect an open and non-stigmatizing environment regardless of their size. I view nutrition counseling as a collaboration between myself and my patients; therefore, patients can expect to work together to create individualized nutrition goals.”
Ms. Delmendo enjoys helping patients stress less about choosing foods to eat, feel better about their body, and become more confident in managing their health. She also finds it incredibly rewarding to work with pediatric patients to increase food variety and promote healthy growth. “The thing I most love about my job is helping patients cultivate more positive relationships with food and eating.”
When not at work, she enjoys being outside in the beautiful PNW through hiking, cross-country skiing, and kayaking. She also loves to garden and bake, especially when she can bake with produce from her garden. Her absolute favorite food is ice cream, regardless of the season.
