“I have the gift of time, which most providers don’t have, because of how Neuropsychology is structured. I get to dive deep with my patients into exactly what they are struggling with.”
Neuropsychology is the study of the intricate relationship between the mind, behavior, and brain functioning. As a neuropsychologist, Megan Eng, PhD, specializes in assessing various thinking skills, such as memory, spatial integration, problem-solving skills, and language abilities. Comprehensive evaluations are completed to assess cognitive strengths and weaknesses related to intellectual functioning, medical complexities, and mental health functioning. These evaluations can provide diagnostic clarity, such as dementia or mild cognitive impairment. Evaluations can also be helpful for treatment planning for those who have suffered from brain injuries, such as stroke or a traumatic brain injury.

A Corvallis native and Oregon State alumni, Megan Eng, PhD, was specifically drawn to develop her practice at The Corvallis Clinic to serve people she deeply cares for in and around her community.
Dr. Eng has a very patient-centered approach to her practice and aims to fully understand the concerns of her patients and their loved ones. The interactive complexities of human nature and environmental influences, both positive and negative, inherently impact how we relate to the world around us. Dr. Eng has a strong desire to understand these complexities, which drove her to pursue a career in mental health. Utilizing cutting-edge research in the ever-changing mental health field, Dr. Eng provides patients with the most accurate assessments and evidence-based recommendations.
“I hope my patients experience clarity. Usually, when they come to me, it’s because there is a question of what is going on, which can be quite distressing. My hope is to help them walk through that in the testing process and also give them a better understanding of what’s going on, what it means for them, and how I can help them as their medical provider.”
Patients can expect comprehensive mental health care from Dr. Eng. Pioneering new and improved approaches to neuropsychology is a passion of hers. It continues to drive her mental health research in a way that allows her to improve her practice continually. During her APA-specialty accredited neuropsychology fellowship at a VA hospital, she and other medical providers partnered to create a bridge between post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment and treatment for traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) after noticing a gap in the care for patients suffering from both. This project reduced the trauma symptoms while teaching patients methods to work around cognitive difficulties to improve overall functioning and independence.
When she isn’t serving her patients, Dr. Eng and her family enjoy being outside year-round to hike, kayak, and snowboard. She also enjoys cheering on her favorite sports teams or spending quality time with her English bulldog, Winston.
