Sometimes, dismissing a patient may be necessary when a healthy therapeutic relationship between provider and patient can no longer be maintained. When this step is required, our approach prioritizes respectful communication and ensures the patient’s continuity of care.
Examples of Dismissal Criteria
- Disruptive behavior
- Significant non-compliance with prescribed care plans
- Persistent unpaid balances
No-Show Policy
- Established Patients: Four no-shows within six months or three consecutive no-shows may lead to dismissal.
- New Patients: Two no-shows may lead to dismissal.
Patients are not dismissed based on protected characteristics, and efforts are made to address barriers to care before dismissal.
Thank you for supporting a respectful care environment at The Corvallis Clinic.
